Discussion:
Unit has no spark

I have a S50FT with a Spectrum 2.2 engine that has no spark. I have constant 12VDC on middle wire to coil pack. Am I looking at a bad ECM?

Should you still have problems with the spark, you need to verify wire connections from the ECM to the pack. Lift has been known for failed wire harness. Good Luck

Possibly the camshaft position sensor. If you can access the diagnostics in the display, open the page that shows RPM and activate the starter with a remote button, cranking RPM will be displayed. No RPM = bad cam sensor.

Pull the spark plug boot from the coil and see if arcing is showing. Remove spark plug and lay it on the valve cover an see if you have spark or ground the threads on the plug.
