Yale GLP050VXEURE090:
TRUCK WON'T START WITHOUT CHOKING

YALE FORKLIFT WON'T START WITHOUT CHOKING THE CARB BY HOLDING YOUR HAND OVER THE AIR HORN. ONCE THE UNIT STARTS IT RUNS GREAT. THE ERROR CODE ON THE DASH THAT DISPLAYS IS 524261-3 WHICH IMMEDIATELY CLEARS FROM THE DASH ONCE THE ENGINE STARTS TO RUN.
ANY HELP IN FIGURING OUT THIS ISSUE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. WE'VE TESTED AND CHECK THE ENTIRE LP SYSTEM AND WIRING, THROTTLE SENSOR AND ENSURED THAT THERE ARE NO VACCUM LEAKS.

If you follow the hose back from the injector, you will find a round housing with three screws. There is a filter in this housing that can become plugged. If the filter is not plugged than you need to check the lockoff valve on the regulator.

Brewski, seems as though the injector is not injecting but has 12V at the injector and the VCM like it should. It just never injects fuel. We have put it directly to power and the injector works like you described earlier. Short of determining that the VCM needs to be replaced, is there another circuit, like fuel lock-off, that may be inhibiting the injector from injecting? Or does this sound more like a VCM issue?

At the base of the intake manifold, under the mixer there is a electronic injector. It has a plug with 2 wires going to it. Remove the valve from the manifold and hold it in your hand. Turn the key on and you should fell the valve vibrate. There should be a small amount of LP coming out of the valve. If it is not vibrating try cleaning with carb cleaner. If it still doesn't vibrate check to see if there is a voltage across the terminals. If there is a voltage, replace the injector.

You really need a schematic for your truck to diagnose this problem. What is your serial number?

Depends on which engine and the vintage of the truck. The two you need to check are probably at pin 19 and pin 49 on the ECU. C is not on all trucks.

Thanks Brewski - looking for a bit more information on the 5V "A", "B' and "C" supply. More to the point, where are they?
