Hyster H80FT:
Truck disables when put into gear

Alright so I've been relocated to a different facility by the company I work for, and I get here to find that they have six hyster lifts, all of which are different makes and models and only one of them runs. The issue I'm having now is with an h80ft Ser# n005v05096f.

Its giving me fault code 524269-4 when it is put into gear. The only type of information as far as records that i could find is and I QUOTE "Hyster 80 needs transmission 7-8K." If there is anyone out there that could help me find out or tell me what code 524269-4 means it would be greatly appreciated.. This is just the beginning of my hyster migraine.

That code means the transmission enable valve in not working properly. It is a solenoid valve mounted on the top of the transmission. I believe that throws the trans into disable mode when the ecm senses the enable valve not working.
