ok that spirax fluid is what they use now that covers most of the old type fluids

as for the 8' forks?
unless you can find someone that has a decent used pair for sale
calling kenhar cascade might be and idea
8' forks would be a special order type fork in most cases

That doesnt look like a hyster serial number or this truck is very old (late 70's model?)
If thats the case the fluid would be either 10w or mercon more than likely.

I havnt dealt with a truck that old in a long time and i dont have information handy on anything that old.
maybe someone else here might

Sorry

a truck serial number would be helpful

in the older trucks
hydraulic oil used was SAE 10W API CC/SE
All it says for transmission fluid is use hyster part number 336831

if the fluid is clear then i would use the hyster part number.
if the fluid is red then it is probably dextron fluid so dextron III would work in it.

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
