Transmission trouble

Hi I'm new here and desperately looking for help with my forklift.
It's an automatic transmission. Works fine on flat surface but when a slight incline Comes it just pops into neutral.
The clutch seems to be ok because when I get a run at the hill the engine comes under pressure. I have removed the inching cylinder to see was that causing the problem and still the same when it was off.
If anyone can shed some light on my problem it would be greatly appreciated

Does this occur in both forward and reverse going up a hill?

Fact of the week
Brothers Adolf ("Adi") and Rudolf ("Rudi") Dassler split their shoe company after WWII due to a bitter feud, and established the rival companies of Adidas and Puma. Their personal animosity and business rivalry divided their German hometown Herzogenaurach. The town became known as "the town of bent necks" due to the intense loyalty to each brand.
