I'm working on a 8FGU25 11103. The machine will go up, but will not lower the forks. Checked fuses, rearranged the 4 fuse relays, checked the sensor plug in, and removed the sensor. The truck lowers w/ the sensor removed. The lowering soliniod on the control valve is probably not energizing. I did notice 2 soliniods on the lift section of the control valve, any ideas where to begin looking?

I think I found the problem. I checked the switch and soliniod, both good and operate when electrically connected to the truck. I removed the soliniod, spring, popet, then spool insert. Beneath the insert is a small very strong spring. This was broken.
Sorry can't help you there , not sure of the best way to get those replaced, hopefully someone else will pipe in here to help you out
Thats what I'm thinking, the switches/soliniod on the bottom of the valve lowering spool is no good. The customer sands down stone and produces alot of dust, the dust probably worked its way into the electrical/machanical part of the valve.
Do I have to pull the control valve to gain access underneath the spool, I'm not triple jointed.
The sensor you write about is on bottom of lift spool valve Inline with the spool its the lift and lower switch, next to it on the bottom of the lift/lower spool is the lift lock valve(solenoid). If your unplugging the switch and its woking you may have a problem with that switch internally maybe filled with oil. Always hated when they mounted switches under spool valves.
The sensor we checked the plug on was under the floorboard in the middle of the lowering stool. Where is the lift lock valve? Is it located underneath the lowering stool? Thank you for your help. John
Which sensor did you unplug to get unit to lower? Did you check lower switch , check for voltage to lift lock valve while lowering to see its energized or not, maybe its stuck, it happens often.
