Hyd oil in transmission

Will a bad pump dump hyd. oil in the transmission?

depending on the type of transmission some trucks use hydraulic fluid in the transmission, it is plumbed into the hydraulic system. Kind of like some trucks that have the hydraulic power assist on the brake systems.

double check your transmission lines and make sure
if it is a standalone unit the lines will only run back to the radiator for the cooling.
