I know this is semi old, do you know which wires to jump at the box for spark? Thanks in advance
Ok but if you need the correct part it is available at the factory the correct part number is yale 580027523 that is the one box under the air cleaner take care.
Thanks a lot for the info. So I was able to wire up the fuel system through an oil pressure switch and everything is working great. Thanks again!
It can be jumped but only for test purposes how it is wired is there are two wires controlling the fuel when the key is turned on positive goes directly to l believe the brown wire to the fuel lock wire harness and the idle valve the red wire is ground to fuel lock and ldle valve. Why they use red i is strange for ground but they do. If you jump red at the box to the black wire at the box the fuel lock will come on with key. next for spark at the distributor they use the pulse of the distributor module to go through the box for spark there is a green wire that is connected to the dist wire that is blue l believe if you disconnect the wire and attach the blue wire to the neg of the distributor you should have spark the problem is it can only be used to test because fuel will be feeding as soon as the key is turned on and it could cause a fire.also you could jump at box for spark on the other wires.l will see tomorrow if l can find a box for you.. if l can't you could change the propane system to emco because that is a neg system it needs vac to feed fuel and just jump the spark or you could buy a time delay that they used on cat.ttucks and wire it on the fuel side so if the key is on no fuel will go to the carb untill it is cranking.l will get the part number and get back to you. it will be easy if l find the correct part always better to leave it factory. No worrying if something goes wrong down the road.
It's a Mazda with Assan fuel system. It only has the box bolted below the air cleaner.
I read your post l have a question what propane system is this truck running emco or assan also is there to switches one by the battery and one by the frame near the propane or is it one box bolted to the under side of air cleaner the early trucks used one to control spark and one to control propane also is it a Mazda engine or 3.0 gm sorry for all the questions but the wiring is different
