I drive a 2017 Donkey Forklift for work. About 3 months ago the bolt that holds the tilt cylinder to the body of the fork lift snapped on the left side. We fixed it, then today when I was lifting an empty box (about 500 lbs) the right bolt sheered clean off. What may be causing this and how do we stop it from happening again?

Many people here don't even know what a bolt is and how it is used. This is one of the most common fasteners. It is a metal rod in the shape of a cylinder, on the outside of which there is a thread. It is crowned with a hat (head), usually hexagonal. With its help, materials are fixed and connected. The connection is made by fixing with a nut or by **** the rod into a hole with an internal helical groove. I advise you to learn how to install them yourself, because they can solve many problems with breakdowns. For more information visit https://www.scrooz.com.au/nuts-and-bolts/.
Our Donkeys would do that when we over load them. I understand it broke with only 500 lbs on the forks. But what was it carrying before that
They aren't loose, they are snapping right at the point they screw in to the plate connecting to the body. Its a clean snap. Apparently other areas are having this same problem. I wish I could upload a picture.
My guess is they broke because they were loose, or the pivot point did not have lubrication.
