Toyota 7FGCU20:
hydraulic lift and lower

From about 3 feet up, with no load - forks will very slowly drop. This doesn't occur at higher lift points. However when load lifted to about 8 feet or more, after backing out of skid, forks will raise up about 6", almost like a cushion of air is in the system. I thought seals leaking with the drop, but fork rise??

Have to remove the center cylinder to check valve in the center of the rod. If the unit sat or is in moisture it causes this to rust at some point in wet applications. Isolate cause. Remove and cap center cylinder hydraulic hose and lift using back cylinders. No drift, then check out center cylinder.
