While I didn't know it when I first saw this thread, I see now that Maximal are going to start trying to break into the US market...
I am sure they must be able to certify to the EPA and Customs that they do meet EPA standards.
I do know there used to be, and still may be a minimum number of motors that you manufacture in a year (I think it was 50) that you could slide "under the radar" and not have to face the EPA and C.A.R.B., but I don't remember anything about a minimum number of imported motors.
As I remember, any IC engine imported into the US must meet the US spec it's completed as.
do Canadian forklifts have to meet California emissions standards too?
