Discussion:
Old Hyster

Hi all I'm resident in the UK.
I've just purchased an old 1985 H2.00XL A177. I believe the engine to be a VA or UA 2.00l Mazda Gas motor. I'm having difficulty obtaining a distributor cap for this machine. Is there any equivalence to a Mazda car distributor, or can someone point me to a stockist likely to have one on the shelf. I have found a couple that list it but nill stock. Thanks

Thanks for the reply!
The lift we have has the Mazda VA engine in it and we were trying to replace it with one out of a car if that is possible. I don't know if anyone has ever done that. I have found very little information on this engine and what vehicles it may have been used in.
Thanks Dwayne

In the U.S. the 2.0 Liter 4cyl. Gasoline engine is used in the Mazda 3 compact sedan.

I don't know how that translates to Mazda vehicles in the UK.

Thanks for your help guys
I've found a place in NI Portadown; LS forklifts that can get me all the bits I need at a reasonable price. Someone mentioned that the Mazda VA PTO engine is used in a car, does anyone know what model car?

You might be able to find a replacement at a local auto parts store.
In the States, that Mazda engine is the same one used in automobiles.
