Jungheinrich ALL:
simple question no one has been able to answer.

We have a jungheinrich tfg 25 bs serial 898 95064

The break peddle has a 3 wire device that when you push the breaks it sends a signal up to the computer. I traced the 3 wires to the control computer. Now the question The computer now has to stop the fork lift, but where does it connect to the system, what does it connect too to make the fork stop moving.

Push the break peddle tells the computer to stop, the computer then initiates the stop, but how..! Where does it connect and what does it connect to that makes it stop. Any morsel of data would make me very happy. Thanks and have a nice day.

The electric brake is meant to be used as an emergency brake and parking brake. The actual slowing down of the lift comes from some type of regenative braking from the controller to the motor. Not to the brake coil. The switch with the 3 wires uses the normally open and normally closed circuits as a safety measure. Some lifts do use the brake with an air gap setting to adjust the stopping distance.

Not familiar with your truck but normally the controller slows the drive motor electrically, by applying a signal to the brake coil and or electrically slowing the motor through the motor controller. This is a simple explanation but does apply to most of the new equipment.
