justinm ,sterring motor has been removed number of times and disassembled & inspected pinion is only worn slighty on the spur gear of teeth no more than what is normal ; shaft and key way set screw is tight with no play. special note display card was installed & steering learn was performed as i have done in the past with other eop;s there is no fault codes comeing up on steering tracker but again apon stepping on deadman pedal the steering will come on line and steering uint will just set and ratchet back and forth slightly appox 1to2 inchs left to right instead of powering up in the static state as the steering motor normally should do intill you give it the command from the steering wheel on platform thanks for your help will be awaiting your response

seeing you changed the steer control
id pull that motor and pay close attention to the pinion
esp on the shaft
take the allen out
if it seems loose when you 1st try to loosen the allen, the motor shaft might be stripped
pull the gear and see if it ground a channel into the shaft thats allowing the motor shaft to spin independent of the pinion

like i said i had a raymond shear the keyway and do exactly that
though i forget the exact symptoms since it was a few years ago
but i believe they were similar to yours

no not that iam aware of on antennas & wire guidance. have checked voltage very low appox 3 to 4 volts battery pretty clean will remove in order to isolate and eliminate possible voltage interference to frame & components have visual checks on cables will inspect and omh motor

Have the steer motor cables been disconnected for any reason? I know on some steer controllers if you get the motor cable on the wrong way it causes a similar problem.

code C5 means the steer control detected pulses from the steer encoder when no movement was commanded

so this is the result of your fault not the cause

have you checked frame voltage?
remove steer motor cables and check for shorts from the terminals to the frame of the motor
repeat check for cables (disconnected from motor)

does it have wire guidance antennas? (even if the location isnt setup for it)
