Pivot Steer Trucks (Bendi,Flexi)

Has anyone heard of a 1 Day Conversion Refresher course for said trucks.
Training Provider that I am doing work for has said this course exists.
I do not belive it and want to go by what the ABF 2000 guidlines state (2 Days) for
a Conversion from C/balance or Reach.

Hi Guys. The main awarding bodies i.e RTITB and ITSSAR recommend a 2 day course for conversion training in compliance with ABFG. But remember what the training and certification is about. Are you prepared to sign a certificate as proof that the candidate has received adequate training ?? (HASWA 1974 section 2) Also as accredited trainers we have to comply with the terms of our accreditation.
Would any of you conduct a 2 day conversion course from counterbalance to electric pallet truck ? I certainly would NOT, but at the end of a one day session the training received will be (in most cases) adequate to the candidates needs.

It depends on the machine type, candidates experience and beleif that we are able to prove we have given adequate training in that time.

A conversion course is a course that converts an operator from 1 truck type to another. It is possible to do this course in 1 day but only for 1 operator 1 truck and 1 instructor. For 2 to 3 operators 2 days are needed.

A refresher course is just that for exsisting bendi operators doing periodic retraining.
