Discussion:
Transmission Solenoid?

Hello,
I have a T40C/ SN 38Y04003. Sometimes when I am using it it acts as though I am driving with the brakes on. It will then start driving fine in reverse, but when I shift to neutral it is still in reverse. My thoughts are that somehow the reverse solenoid is hanging and when I go into forward it is still somehow hung in reverse too so I am trying to drive forward while it is trying to go backward. Is this possible?

Any accessories installed on this truck such as backup alarm, reverse light, tail lights. etc.?? check voltage at reverse solenoid wire in all direction switch positions, obviously should only have voltage when in reverse. Had a truck once doing similar things because a bad tail light was back feeding from brake light bulb to the back up light bulb causing reverse solenoid to engage when operator used inching or brake pedal.

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
