Discussion:
Lateral Tip Over Protection

The company I work for is in the early stages of looking into designing a system for the European market to protect fork lift operators in the event of lateral tip over. I am familiar with the Sauermann system and have seen the Bodyguard by Fritzmeier but am having difficulty finding details about the other systems on the market. If any of you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Any and all comments on the effectiveness and ease of the various systems would also be welcome.

Can you give me the contact details you have for the Sauermann system? I want to take a closer look, but can't pull up the correct contact details etc on the Net. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. We are just investigating the market at this point so it could be long time until a product would be developed.

I personally can't help you out steven_g, but you're in the right place.
No doubt the panel of experts can come up with something for you.

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
