Discussion:
How to determine forklift year

I bought a Yale forklift last week and I cannot determine the year. Any ideas on how I can figure this out?

GLP080LGNGBV088

Does the 88 in the serial designate the year? I don't think this lift is that old.

Thanks in advance for anyone with some advice.

Imprtjunkie: Stam is correc but the number you provided is a complete model number the V088 at the end of the model indicates the mast type and the 88 is the lowered height of the mast in inches. You need to provide the serial number to determine teh year. It should be on the same plate as the the model number.

the last letter in the serial number tells you the year.
w = 1999
x = 2000
etc..
