JLG 2032E2 lift

I have a 2032e2 lift that won't move forwards or reverse. I changed the controller, and the checked the fluid level. It will go up, down, and turn the drive wheels. where do I start to troubleshoot the problem? Or if someone knows what the problem is.

the status of the switch depends on the position of the pothole arms
the diagram could be incorrect but if they are shown closed in the circuit and are wired normally open when stowed then if the arms are depressing the switch when lowered they would be closed allowing for normal travel.

Swoop,
I see the drawing where you quote the position of the limit switches when the deck is down. The symbol shows the contact as closed, as I see it. Is the diagram wrong?
Having changed the wiring of the contacts to the N.O. terminations, my lift is now fully functioning. So, I assume the diagram is wrong. Thanks for your help.

Swoop,

Just to clarify, you're saying these are wired backwards, if the conductors are terminated on the normally closed contacts? I don't see anything that allows me to post a picture.

the pothole protection switches are wired to be open when the machine is in the stowed position (platform down).

Have a JLG 1932E2 won't drive, but does everything else. So, I disconnected the pothole protection limit switches, and it began to function as it should. I bought and installed new switches, and it no longer drives. There is no adjustment on the mounting plate. I'm wondering if someone that had it before me had wired it on the wrong set of contacts, and I followed their lead with the new limit switches. Anyone know whether they should be wired N.O., or N.C.?
Thanks.

Old thread, but I have the same lift and same problem. Did you ever figure out what was wrong?

yep the pothole protection switch might also be a possibility.
there looks like a couple of limit switches that may be causing this problem. Depending on the serial number range these switches would probably be located in different spots, inside the side doors or possibly on side bar (pothole) linkages.

"it's not rocket surgery"
check the joystick control in the platform, check the cable where it connects and also all the way through the sissor assembly.

usually when you have steer and raise/lower operation it is usually the potentiometer in the joystick control being faulty.
Since you have already changed the controller i guess you can rule that possibility out ;o)

if you have a handset i would use that to help troubleshoot it, they are pretty good on diagnosis assistance :o)

And yes, if you need the manual jlg has all of them posted for public access
