Hyster H2.50XM:
JUDDERING IN REVERSE

Hi
Our Hyster runs great in forward, but judders back in reverse at 1/4 speed at best. I've swapped the solenoids over to no avail. The housing the solenoids fit into looks like it may be fluid filled? So I didn't want to progress before asking for advice.

TIA

First thing to do is change the oil and filter it should be JD40 spec oil (tractran 9) ive seen plenty of hysters running standard ATF and the clutch packs always fail I would suspect that the shuddering is being caused by a damaged clutch pack this is common when running atf

I'll have a look tomorrow. If I remove the housing the solenoids are going into, is it going to be messy?
