if you look at the Hyster Blog you will see they intend to produce these trucks quite soon. Also Hyster are to work with the Port of long beach to produce a sustainable big forklift, the problems Hyster have are in the Lift and battery life. Hyster say they will use there hydrogen fuel cell technology but everybody knows Hyster is way behind plug Power and Ballard in this area.
The article I read on the Hyster unit was about a "concept" design based on a current model which is a long ways from a design for production and marketing. concept = an abstract idea; a general notion.
No just look at IVT magazine, it's all in there. And it's known in the industry that the Hyster fuel cell program is not as advanced as plug power or Ballard
@exalt
Just curious how would one find Hyster's product development plans on a public network or did some one hire the Kremlin to hack into Hyster's computer network. Most product development plans are kept close to the vest.
Read over the last couple of days about Hyster plans for their big electric truck. For it to work on lithium ion battery alone the battery will have to be around 1 MW and lift speed Woud be considerably lower than a diesel truck. Hyster say there could be a hydrogen fuel cell version but looking at the Hyster hydrogen fuel cell program this is a very long way off. Hyster are miles behind companies like Ballard in hydrogen fuel cell technology.
Is this the new lithium 8 ton truck that nobody will buy because at around $ 100,000 it will be just to exspensive compared to a deisel truck
that must be to free up space in Craigavon for c/b electric production
nacco is to build a new factory close to nijmegen to build hyster 3,5 t-5,5 ton on a new production line.
nacco do not want invest in more production the future is electric such as new electric 8 ton as B299
Sany will do well in the growing market of Asia, Toyota will increase sales in North America with their deal with Hoist. they now sell the full range of container handling equipment. Hyster have seen orders increase thanks to Briggs doing well in the UK. This might be a one off jump. Now Hyster have taken a majority stake in Maximal will they use the maximal site to produce for the Asian market meaning they will take work away from Nijmegen
They had a record year in container handlers so i'd be surprised. Sany also seem to be in retreat, they lost one of their biggest customers in South Africa.
Looking at the Hyster results they need something, Only company in North american market apart from Komatsu to have turned over less than the year before
Well lets hope not, I have some good memories of Nijmegen particularly with Fred Tito in the casino !!
what i have said will be shown to be right just as we have said and been shown to be right before, as for the fake new comment just look at what is happening in the industry , Kalmar moved production to Poland, Kone purchase of TEREX, Sany market share improving, more chines manufactures entering the market where the Nijmegen product fits, Toyota and Hoist the list goes on. then have the info we have and you might understand why we know what we know.
But then again this is all fake news. If you want to put your head in the sand and not realise what is going on that's ok by us but we will be shown to be right again
As for being a Toyota fan our opinion is to have one dominant manufacture like Toyota is not good fro the long term development of the industry.
Just one point when we said about Linde HTD at Merthyr Tydfil we got the same and were told we didn't no what we were talking about. if was about them they would of said it was fake news. I herd later that one of the reasons the Linde HTD management told the staff was to do with that post on here. Now if any former employees of Linde HTD are on here what would you of preferred that we said nothing and the Linde HTD people told you at the last minute Or that you had plenty of time to know that Merthyr was to close.
I might get a bit of stick but Nijmegen will close its just told old and can not compete no more in the industry. Thats not to say Hyster Yale won't move production to a more afford able facility
Xalt is a diehard Toyota fan.
stam,
You got that right. Pretty much everything that exalt posts is just to get a reaction out of people or is not even close to the truth.
Who makes you the authority on plant closures?
first nacco new name will be tvh
