Discussion:
Battery manufacturer

Hi all,

First post here, and from looking around, there seems to be alot of good info here.

In any case, I'm in need of a replacement battery for an 80V Yale forklift. I have quotes from the local Deka and GNB dealers. There's a significant price difference between the two (same specs).

Does anyone have any opinions on the 2 manufacturers (Deka vs. GNB)?

Thanks in advance.

We went with the Deka. Yes, it was the higher quote, but we've had no problems with previous Dekas and we decided to go with the known, rather than the unknown.

Thanks for the reply!!

Deka was probably the higher quote and for good reason. With Deka you will get what you pay for with better run times and longer life assuming you water, charge and do some basic maintenace. i would negotiate with Deka and try to reduce the difference.
