Discussion:
What color?

Fixing up a 1969 G51C-040. I'm trying to figure out the original color. Currently it is yellow with white engine side covers. However, under the floorpan everything is orange yet I can't find any evidence that it was orange underneath the yellow paint on the outside of the machine.

come to think of it i do remember seeing some orange ones around but always thought they had been painted orange by the customers since i only saw a couple of them. Most of what i came across were usually beige and yellow (known as yale gold).
So i suppose whatever the inside of the frame color is would usually be the real color of the lift.
i stand corrected... thx guys :o)

I have a 1968 Yale parts/service manual and the photo on the cover shows everything orange.

Ok that makes sense then because nearly everything below the covers is orange. So was the whole machine orange or were the doors painted a different color?

early models were generally gold(yellowish) and beige
later on they did introduce black into the color scheme but i don't think they ever had any that were orange
