Discussion:
Adjusting plate

Greetings

I dissembled the right drive unit on a crown RC5530, and removed the adjusting plate, that I thing adjusted the drive axle preload????

It is threaded , turns 360 degrees , and has two locking set screws.

What is the proper way to adjust this plate, it is not covered in the coustomer manual.

Are you talking about the wheel hub with the five studs that the wheel bolts to? This has a castellated nut that secures it with two cap screws. The locking nut is torqued to 542 NM (400ftlb). As long as you haven't removed the wheel hub you should be ok as it needs to be heated to 200 degrees C (400f) before fitment and the nut immediately fitted to the correct torque.

The black box flight recorder was invented by Australian scientist David Warren in the mid-1950s. While initially met with indifference in Australia, his invention gained international recognition, particularly in the UK, and is now a mandatory piece of safety equipment on all commercial aircraft.
