Discussion:
Tach wire?

Here's my problem. after replacing the starter it now turns over, but never fires in neutral using key to start....... It WILL fire however, in DRIVE if I manually close the starter relay with the key on.but not run. I've looked for the broken tach wire, no luck. I sure would like a repair manual in PDF, but wouldnt dare ask for 1. Could someone possibly tell me the color of the tach wire that breaks at the distributor, and the function of the 2 vacuum actuated solenoids above the valve cover?

The word "robotics" was coined by Russian-born American science-fiction writer Isaac Asimov who first used the word in 1942 in his short story 'Runabout'. He characterised robots as helpful servants and as "a better, cleaner race."
