I usually replace the cylinder assembly rather than reseal due to cost, we sell the cylinder assembly for under 500.00 which is not much more than a seal kit and labor to install. If you are replacing the orbital valve, I agree with the above statement that you should replace the valve as an assembly rather than reseal to prevent headaches.

The cylinder is simple as it has a center oring and seal. Remove the cylinder and inspect the rod for bend. If rod will slide back and forth off unit then i am doubting it is the cylinder but in the ps valve it's self or the ps valve. I would check this as it can save you money and time. ||It's best to diagnose the problem correctly than just throwing parts at it.

i think it's better for complete ps cylinder. the wheels do not turn counter clock wise but may turn clock wise.

li w being it is a L02 model and has some age it and depending on hrs just go ahead and replace the complete valve as it will be less headache. The valve housing will probably have lot of wear depending on hrs. if it has low hrs then a seal kit will suffice but if unit has 6000+ i would just replace it as a complete unit.
