Discussion:
Electric Forklift - China

I am looking at a Chinese electric forklift manufacture for a rental application (counter balance). medium use.

any recommendations ?

one of my customer has got down a GOODSENSE IC forklift and my technician said that the quality is good. we have worked with a bad manufacture before. But the technician said that it looks better than HC machines.

any comments on GOODSENSE manufacturer ?

Thanks,

I would have to disagree with oldforker, for one Andrew77 didn't complain but agreed. Had first hand experience with the G.S. truck, didn't think it was built well, had a lot of issues with it, the biggest problem was getting parts and support. Second, it is the Manufactures job not only to provide lift trucks, but provide a good parts and service support system for the dealer. Lets face it, there is a lot of product that no matter how its built, if there isn't good support, it wont survive. They are trying to build these trucks so fast and cheap, that quantity takes priority over quality and dealer support. Its just the facts, seen it many times.

Andrew77 is complaining about the "the Chinese not having parts".
Parts supply problems are not caused by the manufacturer but by the distributor. A good distributor provides full parts and service support for the product they sell regardless of whether it's Chinese, Japanese or European.
If you have a support problem it's probably because you bought a Chinese forklift from a dealer who's not committed to their brand and to the forklift industry and is only interested in a quick buck from a fast sale.
Our customers buy Hangcha with confidence because we support our product properly and have worked hard to establish Hangcha as a reliable brand.
Moral of the story is; be careful about the dealer's reputation for support regardless of the forklift brand.

This is the reality unfortunately...
My opinion: better to offer a forklift reconditioned used a known brand, at least you do not have problems with spare parts..
I do not understand why with the Chinese manufacturers there are always problems with spare parts...

We had such for awhile. Biggest problem getting parts and support. Cheap hoses, fittings leaked constantly. Hoses deteriorate quickly. We called for parts it seemed they would take parts off of other trucks, we used to joke, order two trucks and use one for parts.

We have lots of the same model from the same manufacturer operating with no significant problems. Our experience is that Chinese equipment is inherently just fine, - only requires a thorough PD inspection and then ongoing customer perception is all down to product support by the dealer.

Avoid chinese made.
In Australia, we bought a "Powerlift Nissan" R1500.
When it arrives, we found we were duped by Powerlift Nissan, who delivered a chinese made machine.

Problems:
- oil leak from first month , and happens regularly
- steering mechanism broken after 14 months, with no replacement parts.

The forklift is sitting in our warehouse for 1 month, while we use a hired machine.
