LIFT CYLINDER NOT HOLDING.LEAKS DOWN WITH LOAD.HAVE PACKED CYLINDER.

Hi,Its 3 stage.packed the center cyl. It has 2 outer cylinders.that where not packed. It leaks down,without 2 stage started up.thanks kent

If that has 2 cylinders and you replaced the seals in the front (primary) one, if the back one has bad seals it will cause the front one to still drift down.

Most TCM lift cylinder that I have seen do not create external leaks. They usually leak internally and that is why the have a hose attached to the top of the cylinder which returns oil to the tank. However if it has properly repacked there should be no oil there. The easiest way to tell is to remove the hoses and lift the mast to full elevation and hold pressure on it. There should be kn oil coming out of the fittings. If there is then you have internal leakage in the cylinder.

hi check the valve and lever , it is possible the valve have internal leak. you must lift up the cilinder and block it. Set a plug in the hose of the cilinder and test it with load. If the cilinder oke he hold the load and the valve are defect. If the load goes down the cilinder is defect
