Discussion:
GNB Champion batteries

Does anyone know of a good replacement for 6 volt batteries that go in a GNB Pallet Pro battery pack. We have converted many units over to 12 volt batteries and rewired them for 24 volt but they don't last as long.

Is there any difference between a gel battery and a sealed lead acid battery?

I was looking for gel cell batteries only. In most pallet truck applications you can not water the batteries unless you remove the complete battery pack plus the charger that comes with the battery pack is not compatible with wet cell golf cart batteries.

I am not a gel fan. They don't last as long and they cost way too much. I prefer using Deka batteries. What I look for is the highest Amp hour rating I can get. I know you can go cheap but the AH is low and the run time is low. Just my opinion.

As for the Gel vs. Lead acid batteries Gels cost WAY more than a lead acid, for the price would stick with lead acids, are just as reliable and could buy 2 or 3 for the price of 1 gel

Dont know as the sams club batteries would be a deep cycle battery needed in a pallet jack application, plus dont think the quality would hold up to the vigors of everyday useage.
Another option would be a Marine deep cycle 6 volt battery could be found at any boat/fishing place

I've replaced alot of golf cart batteries w/ the 6 volters they sell at Sam's Club. Never had a problem.
Gell batteries can be configured side ways and dont require any maintaince, as for quality of operation, I dont know enough about them.
