no forward or reverse

I am being driven mad by our truck having driven over a small bump the truck will not go forwards or backwards,the lights on the dash come on but no drive,or clicking.
all the other functions work if I leave the seat they stop so I belive the seat switch is ok anyone got any ideas. its been driving us crazy now for a while.
