Raymond OPC30TT YEAR 2003- Drives very slow.

Truck drive speed will only go up to creep to mid range. No code comes up on the display. Display shows all the mast swithes are working. Computer registars re-start and beep comes on. Display shows the pot is in the correct position and value. Also did a re-learn. The truck is equipped with wire guidance, drove the truck off the line to check sensor. Out side of the traction board, would anyone have any other suggesting ??

Well after many hours , we found the problem. POWER CARD, go figure no codes and everything showed ok. Process of elimination we swapped cards with a sister truck. The problem moved over. Install a new card , all is well.. Thank you to all for the info and support. On to a new challenge !!

OK
Now the weird stuff

Is the gearbox properly attached. some of the bolts get loose/break. Jack the truck up and see if it shifts.. That can cause huge issues with speed and steering.

Is the brake releasing properly? Seen that as an issue

Is the gear on the base of the motor properly mounted? Is it tight

Yeah it's the weird stuff, sounds like thats where you are

I agree with you. Checked it again this morning battery readings is full volage and load drop is minimum. Went and swapped batteries just incase but of course the problem is still there.. Presently checking for a partial break in the overhead cable. Still no codes.!!!

Maybe I am off base but your 24 volt battery should produce 2.1 volts per cell (no load & at ambient temps of about 80F) or total of 25.2 volts. When you say you found 22.5 volts on the battery (with load) that equals 1.87 volts per cell. This is approaching under voltage situation.

Check the cable connections at the switches as sometimes they can come unplugged but if you ran the tests through the truck and they came back below/above when they're supposed to then they should be working. Ohm the drive motor and take a look at the armature. How many volts are coming through your travel circuit?

Ain't nothing I can't fix but a broken heart and the break of day!
Battery voltage is 24volt load test shows 22.5 volts and all cells under load show 2.0 volts. Speed is set at 6. re-learned and the steer indicator showing correct. Mast switches where checked to see if the switch information is being picked up. Is it possible the mast cable may be frayed and no code would be indicated ? Thanks guys for repling any help is totally appreciated !!

3 thoughts
1. What is the speed set to? Some folks like to change this setting
2. I know you checked the mast switches, but mast switches
3. Is the steer indictor showing the correct tire orientation? If its turning with guidance in some models it slowed down
