Discussion:
Problem not moving forward or back

I have an R70 2.5 forklift (1995/1996) which is giving some problems. Can you kindly advise solution as to why it will not go forward or back. I have tried the handbrake switch, it is showing the forward light but not the reverse light on the dash. I have installed a new forward and reverse switch and a speed sensor but problem is still occuring. Any ideas on solving this. Thank you.

Hi did anyone get to know if it was the speed sensor that was faulty if got no traction on a r70/25 could it be a dash fault? No dash lit up or direction arrows on dash? Thankyou for your help in advance

Thank you very much! It was helpful for me also...

Noteworthy - if sensor on the flywheel doesn't work, main cooling fan isnt working also.

Hi guys,

Check the speed sensor on the flywheel between the engine and the generator. For this problem you will not get an error message on the dashboard.
