Fiat E10N

We have a fault on this m/c, if forward selected from neutral it wont drive but if reverse selected first then changed straight into forward it drives ok. contol system is Fiat Static Transistor System.
Any help would be good.

hi Ed, thanks for reply, did wonder that myself but having had service eng. look at truck last week presumed he would have checked! will pop in and check out later today. if thats all the problem is then eng. needs an *** kicking!!!!

got no _real_ Idea, (and as yet, have not seen a fiat forklift in over 35 years) but with these symptoms, my bet would be a miss adjusted directional switch, in that you don't get zero, or true neutral until the switch is moved towards the rev. position, and so don't have a correct "static return to off" my bet is you will find it is still touching the forward switch when it seems to be in neutral.
