I have a late 70's H50 hyster I don't know much about forklifts but the tranmission shifts from reverse to forward through the gas pedal. The forklift sat for about 5 years due to bad brakes so I finally got the brakes fix and new ignition parts now the trouble I'm having is the forklift will not move?????????? I filled the hydaulic tank the is mounted under the seat on the rh side the mast works steering works but no go????? any help would be appreciated the hydraulic tank was empty when I went to fill it is there some sort of bleeding process or am I just plain missing something

Take the floor plate off and look at the petal. Are there hoses or wires going to it.
there is no serial number plate think it go taken off to be painted and never put back on I will look at it or I can take pictures how do I tell if its fluid drive or electronic
whats the s,no. maybe an older one with fluid fed pedal. orings fail in the pedal and cause this fault
CHECK MICRO SWITCH ON PARK BRAKE LEVER
this thing may even have a push button (or other type if someone replaced the OEM) switch on the dash that supplies power to the foot pedal switches that puts the unit "in driving mode"
There are switches under the gas petal that must operate properly to make the transmission work. I would check to see if there is power going to them, the wires are connected ok, and that they are working. Also check the transmission fluid.
