Linde X-range

Heard of a company that ordered the new Linde R 17 X last summer, with delivery early Dec. Since then delivery has been postponed twice and still no machine. Does anyone know why? Rumour has it they have started to call back machines and stopped all market activities. True?

A mate of mine recently trialed one in his warehouse. He found it to be difficult to control in a straight line. Possibly due to its really short wheelbase. Also he had real issues with the H&S risk assessment of removing the battery beneath the raised fork carriage. Linde offered a pin to hold the carriage up which didn't inspire his operators. One other thing was the reflection of warehouse lighting on the between the mast screen which seemed to act like a concave mirror. One last plus point to be fair - the design and lifting capacity is excellent.

Linde is not on sales. Linde is trying to buy BOC in cash, aprox. 7.6 billion sterling. To do so, it is speculated that Linde would divest forklift business.

Design concept of Reach X is superb, real origination. I am very sorry if it sufferred any technical or production deficiency.

The use of "hello" as a telephone greeting is attributed to Thomas Edison. He is said to have suggested it as a simpler alternative to other greetings, such as "Do I get you?" or "Are you there?".
