starting problem

4.3 vortec let unit set over night start,die,start,die,start runs.checked fuel pump,installed new timing chain and gears last week, unit has been doing this for several months.dont have a clue the unit was sent to a hyster dealer a good tune up and pm and 1200 later steel the same any body got any ideas wear to look older unit
K005 serial number oh yea after it starts the weird thing is the rest of the day it will start great so troubleshooting is limited thanks for any and all help.

I agree with converting to LP- easier starting w/out choking & better on engine too. If you find a carb problem w/ your gas carb & need a replacement I'd bet retrofitting LP would be less costly also

If it's on gasoline, are you using a choke to help start and bring up to operating temps?

I know this is an older post but I'll still put this out.
New gas (ethanol) really doesn't like carbs. And in all honesty you'd be better off converting truck to run off of LP. and not worry about cold starting issues and needing to choke first thing in am.
