Discussion:
Hydraulic Pump for lift/tilt cylinders not turning on

Hello,

I can't figure out where I lost connection. I might have snagged a wire that runs along the bottom of chassis.

If I'm correct it's a (blue/red) wire. I don't see anywhere the wire is damaged however.

If anyone knows a way to jumper this to engage the pump, please let me know so I can narrow down my search.

******update: pump runs and controls work when I force the main contact closed
******

Thanks for reading!

John

Someone may have bypassed the Curtis since single wire. the unit would have a harness that went to it if you want to bypass the Curtis just
Put wire from terminal 6 on terminal 8 of the interrupt
That bypasses it someone may have had an issue with the interrupt and ran wire to bypass
And did not know which wire to jump

Thanks for the response- it was the red/blue wire. I ran a temporary wire from the solenoid to the Curtis controller because I'm too aggravated to pull the battery again today lol.

If it is an older unit there may be a Curtis interrupt under the floor plate if so you can jump around it if you have one let me know and I can tell you which wires to jump to bypass

You should have positive voltage on one wire at all hyd switches wire number 10 ,I believe. the voltage goes to card as switch engages the card sends a negative to contactor to close the pump motor contactor. inside of the card the voltage of battery is checked ,if battery is charged the card will initiate a negative that negative goes to contactor to close it ,that brings in pump motor first check voltage at contactor it should be battery volts on both wires without engaging switch I am assuming that battery is fully charged if not the card will not allow negative to go to contactor it is a safety to insure you charge battery
