Steering cylinders

What is the trick to getting the steering cylinder out of my Ingersoll Rand VR 843C 2006 model so I can repack. I have removed the tie rod ends and the 4 Allen bolts that holds the cylinder in place but I can't get it to budge. Looking at the parts manual it looks like it should slide out of the cradle. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
