Discussion:
Clark GPX25E Missing

New to the page trying to figure out a problem with our fork lift. When starting the fork lift it run fine for about a minute as soon as you move or get up to any amount of speed it starts to misfire. I have pin pointed the misfire to cylinder 3. Are there valve adjustment to be made on these engines. This is a Mitsubishi Engine that is in the machine. Spark plugs, wire, cap and rotor have been changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have not. That was going to be my next checking point. It very weird. It starts fine and runs good for about a minute or two. If I go across the lot at full speed it will start to miss. Turn it off and let it sit for a few minutes it starts up fine like nothing ever happened. Will check compression and get back and let you know results.

Valve adjustment is hydraulic, they are prone for sticking valves. Have you done a compression test? I had one it used to run fine but once hot it dropped onto 3 cylinders. Once it did this if you stopped the engine and restarted it you could here it was down a cylinder when cranking. It was a sticking valve.
