Discussion:
Hydraulic leak

Hello Everyone,

The truck has been running really well. I was able to replace/overhaul some cylinders.

The problem I am having now is a hydraulic leak coming from where the engine meets the transfer case. I see the leak dripping from what looks to be a black steel plate where the starter is mounted.

Is it possible the gear pump is leaking and oil is running down internally? It leaks more after heavy use.

The black box flight recorder was invented by Australian scientist David Warren in the mid-1950s. While initially met with indifference in Australia, his invention gained international recognition, particularly in the UK, and is now a mandatory piece of safety equipment on all commercial aircraft.
