Discussion:
Weird Problem

So right now we have two 537 trucks down, one is due to an electronic issue, the other is due to a severe hydraulic leak issue. A person who use to work here had been the one working on the two machines and there is no notes about the orig problem on the electrical issue truck. All I know is the guy no longer works here and i was tasked with looking at trucks and seeing if i could get the one with electrical issue working.

Here is the issue, the vehicle manager of the one truck had been taken out, no one seems to know where it is. previously i had luck with swapping out either vehicle and or carriage managers and then doing the relearn. In this case something is not quite right.

I took the vehicle manager out of the working truck (leaking unit), put into the other truck, the error that comes up is F4 and it will not complete self test, F4 according to the manuals is an error that says vehicle manager has major fault and needs to be replaced. Odd thing is i put it back in leaking unit it works So i dont think the vehicle manager is defective, i am just not sure what else to look at. I mean i did try changing the carriage manager as well but still get same issue.

In all the cases upon power the SOD says selftest and there it hangs and the carriage manager displays code 10 which means it is ready to start talking.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.
