Discussion:
Looking for a manual

My lift is actually a G83P 050 SAS-086 but it wasn't listed. It has a slant six engine which runs pretty good and it lifts very well. The transmission however does have some hesitation. Does anyone know how to tell the year? I would also like to find a manual or manuals. Thanks!

I've already asked the nearest Yale dealer about a manual. They said the lift is so old they would have to research to find one. The rep never called back as promised. I eventually found a G83P service manual on Ebay for $70. Is that a reasonable price?

Will need the serial number. I will look and check if we still have a manual. If we have a manual, will try and locate the serial number location. Thanks.

The hard to do we do right away. The impossible just takes a little longer.
the serial number (complete) will be required to figure out the DOB of your forklift.

Fact of the week
The word "okay" (or its abbreviation "OK") originated as a humorous misspelling. In the 1830s, a fad in Boston involved using abbreviations of intentionally misspelled phrases. "OK" stood for "oll korrect," a playful mispronunciation of "all correct".
