Discussion:
Best tool/software for diagnostics

My shop recently started purchasing newer forklifts (FD45N1) with the perkins motor. These seem to have alot more electrical components to them then what we're use to. My question is what is yall's recommendation for a scan tool or software? What are the pro's and con's? What can your scan tool do? Any information will help to make a sound decision.

If you are not a Mitsubishi Dealer you can go directly to Perkins and purchase the laptop software. I would recommend waiting until warranty has finished. You will also have to purchase the adapter cable set to go from the laptop to the forklift. Ask your dealer for what engine series you are receiving in these units so you can ask Perkins for the right software package.

Fact of the week
The use of "hello" as a telephone greeting is attributed to Thomas Edison. He is said to have suggested it as a simpler alternative to other greetings, such as "Do I get you?" or "Are you there?".
