Discussion:
leaking regulator 1977 Clark propane converted forklift

I have rebuilt the 2 regulators on my Clark because it wouldn't run. It is a 4 cylinder, but not the flat head. It is a C500 Y 50 model, and serial number Y3552673616. I think it was manufactured in 1977.

After installing the rebuild kits, it runs great, but still leaks propane from a small hole in the middle of the housing. It appears it is some sort of pressure release hole for the gas. Any ideas?

Something is wrong with the diaphragms sealing in the housing. That is just a vent hole and doesn't release any fuel pressure. I would install a new regulator. Part # 998350
