Linde H16T cuts out when brake pedal applied

Hi all, I have a 2000 Linde H16T s/n: H2X350L. When the brakes are applied, particularly when applied hard - the engine will cut out and it will take a few minutes to be able to restart it.

If you try and restart it straight away, there is a load against the engine so the starter motor struggles and pulls the battery down. Once you leave it, the load sinks away - so it sounds like some sort of residual hydraulic compression within the hydrostatic system somewhere.

Anybody have any ideas where to start looking?

Cheers,

Dan

Do not stop unit with the brake pedal this is used only for e brake. You can damage hydraulic pump by stopping unit with the pedal. Sounds like your using the pedal to stop which is hydraulically locking your pump which the little vw engine can not handle and will shut off. This unit is hydrostatic when you lift off the accelerator it will stop itself.
