Discussion:
height er

hi, i got a OS030ECN24TE095 order picker with a height error on display. Truck it's not moving or moving slow, I start by testing the prox. switch on the bottom of the mast, light came up but I test continuity on the harness from the connection to the traction controller and found 6 out of 11 pins doing continuity with one of the jacks on the other end. Now, another tech told me to check the pot on top by the pulley, what should I do? My experience tells me to replace the main harness but... if it's only the pot?

You need to go into the dash display and look for fork height after you find fork height hit horn button this will show you the fork height when truck restarts as you lift you can watch to see if encoder is counting correctly if not remove from pulley it is held in with Allen set screws and see if you can manually turn the encoder to see approx 2 in display if counting off replace with new to install just go back in dash and do the same when you manulley turn to see about 2 for fork height reinstall in top pulley and tighten and watch as you go up to make sure it is working but you must go into program to do this

You can check the encoder by taking voltage readings at the encoder plug. You should get 5 volts across the supply and negative. Test from negative to one of the signal wires you should see a toggle on/off. Have you checked to see what the height indicator shows on the display? If it is showing max lift height you need to unmounts the encoder and rotate it so it shows full lowered.
