Discussion:
No spark cyl 2

Can anyone help me i have a nissan k25 lp that is not firing on cylinder 2. It has no spark. I have tested and it is not recieving signal on the purple wire at the coil pack. I have ohmed the wire from the coil to ecm and it checks out fine. I have another lift handy and was wondering if i could swap the ecm's as a test. They are the same aged lifts speced identically.

If your ECM has the same p/n then you can change them. You should install the suspected ECM into the good lift and see if the problem follows the ECM. You wouldn't want to possibly do any damage to the good ECM. Also check that purple wire over very carefully because sometimes the wire is broken in the connector but is still being held firmly in the body of the connector.

Just to further elaborate i started by changing coil positions and the problem stays with cyl #2. I have checked the coil connector and i have the 12vdc and good ground at the plug just no signal on the purple wire ever. I have even tested wiring from crank position and phase sensors all wiring checks out fine.
