Discussion:
Soft Brakes

I just bought a used GC20SC-5 (Serial# PI-00323). It just got new brakes before I got it, and they feel a little soft to me. Not really like air in the lines, but you still have to stand on the pedal to get them to stop in a hurry. I only have experience with trucks that have conventional drum brakes, and those seem to be a lot "grabbier" than these oil cooled brakes. Is that normal? Or did they not get serviced correctly? Perhaps wrong oil for the brakes? I'd like to have some info before I contact the seller about this. Thanks for any help.

Fact of the week
The origin of "love" as the score zero in tennis is debated, but two main theories prevail. One suggests it's derived from the French word "l'oeuf" (egg) which resembles the shape of the number zero. The other proposes it's related to the Dutch word "lof" meaning "honour" as players might be playing for honour when scoreless.
