Discussion:
What's happening at Nissan?

Does anyone know what's going on with Nissan in the UK? First Impact jump and no credible dealer wants to take on the product, now it seems that Carrylift are about to do the same!

What will HFT, South Wales and Lift West do now as they'll be the only dealers selling any Nissans?

You have either bought into all the doosan nonsense or you don`t know one end of a forklift from the other. Doosan a good product not really poor quality materials and bad transmission.
I don`t know if these stories of stobarts not being able to get rid of them fast enough but where there is smoke there is allways fire. Plus the fact if you look at the companys profit and loss the forklift division has made nothing for a good few years. this from info supplied by forklift action.

Doosan have a pretty good product offering and from what I've seen are the only player celebrating any success in the market. They want good dealers to add to the others they have.

They are the ones to watch over the next few years in my opinion. Dismiss them at your peril guys because I bet you will be going head to head with Doosan more and more, and quite frequently losing business you thought was in the bag!

And no, I don't work for Doosan!!!

Doosan have moved from one dealer to the next over the last few years, hardly a great advert for a stable and trustworthy business relationship for anyone to take on.

Well it looks like the game is well and truely over for nissan... I'm told that Carrylift, Mexmast and HFT are all going to become Doosan dealers. We knew the market would loose a player, looks like it's going to be Nissan!! Still, frees it's up a bit for the rest of us now.

From my personal experience he is a very successful and knowlegeable sales & Marketing professional who ran a very professional Toyata dealer sales team - good luck to Derek although I think he is going to need it I'm sure the Pampolona guys will help out... as well as adding some heavyweight dealers to add to the key ones in my opinion like HFT and Liftwest. Best to write off the past two or three years and look forward I believe.

I take it you work for atlet then coal miner. Its strange atlet seem to get the scraps left on the table by the big 3 as you dont see much atlet kit about and that speaks volumes to there market share.

Atlet are tagged a bit like still trucks , if the engineer cant sort them in 5 minutes they are crap, maybe if the engineers had the appropriate training and electrical background then I don't think they would be such a hassle, but for the people who can sort them they are a great truck, worked on Atlets for years , would rather work on Atlet as any other warehouse machine and i have worked on them all ,

Big changes in dealerships with the departure of Impact.
The Atlet product is rubbish
The new 3-wheel electric is no better than the last one

Oilleak......like you said, it's all in the name...!!!!! Just to clarify, I've been working in the industry for 34 years so yes, I do know my stuff. More importantly, I have a greater understanding of what is going on within Nissan which will all become evident very soon. Maybe when you are making your comments (which I understand you are entitled to do) just think about the people (Employees of Nissan) that they may be affecting...!!!!!!!!!!!!!
