Discussion:
Service Provider Lehigh Valley

I have been looking for a service provider for my fleet of IC forklifts for our new facility in the Lehigh Valley, PA. I am having a hard time deciphering through all the pricing. Does anyone have any information on how these companies invoice. I have 3 different companies currently quoting me and they are all over the place on their rates. Are there any hidden fees I need to worry about? Any help would be much appreciated since our company is new to the area.

Thanks

I am getting a quote on service from the hyster, Hyundai and Toyota dealers. Just trying to decipher all the quotes and trying to find out how their invoicing structure is. Not sure if anyone has had experiences with any of these providers in my area and how their invoicing looks like compared to their quote they left me.

I would ask Johnr J for his insight on your issues. From discussions on this website I can tell you he has a lot of experience in this area. The type of lifts, hour usage, and the operators training and attitude all come into play. If this a new operation you have the chance to build up a top notch operation from the ground up. Just remember when hiring operators these people can make the difference between a smooth running operation and a total nightmare. Attitude is everything!

In our area we bill by the hour. In some cases dealers bill a set travel charge and then bill by the hour. factory franchised dealers usually charge more per hour than independents. You might asked the people you are getting quotes from how they bill travel time.
